There are a lot of exciting things going on at Rawlinson and, while some are still in the planning stages, we thought you’d like to know what the Rawlinson community is up to.

Community Cleanup

We will be organizing a Community Cleanup to take place on a Saturday in the next few weeks. The date will be confirmed by next Friday and we welcome all volunteers. It’s a great event for the whole family and it makes a huge difference to your children’s schoolyard, as well as the community in general.

Swap Market

The second annual Rawlinson Swap Market is a great place to get rid of old clothes that your children have grown out of, and pick up some new ones at the same time! Unlike other swap markets, you don’t need to bring something in order to get something, but we will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items which we then pass on to a local foodbank. We will send the date once it is confirmed. We won’t have anything in place for clothing donations until we have firmed up the details, but will let you know as soon as they will be available.

Pizza lunches

Reminder: the due date for submitting pizza lunch forms is September 30. See last week’s newsletter for details. Here’s the link: schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/rawlinson/NewslettersFormsFlyers.aspx

And, of course, VOLUNTEERS

All these events need the help and support of our tireless volunteers. Remember, whether you’ve got half an hour or a whole day, we’re always grateful! If you’re interested or need any further information, please contact us at rawlinsonsac@gmail.com.

The 2016/2017 Parent Handbook is now available! All Kindergarten students are bringing home hard copies. The document is also accessible via the school and SAC websites, or directly at: schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/Portals/rawlinson/docs/2016%20Rawlinson%20Parent%20Handbook.pdf
